Red Lobster’s unaided brand awareness is among the highest of any brand, but as the company prepared to become an independent company, the narrative was decidedly negative, and questioned the iconic dining chain’s ability to survive. Utilizing our integrated corpsumer approach of integrated corporate and brand storytelling, MWWPR leveraged Red Lobster’s spin from Darden to elevate the Company’s leaders and story, highlight food quality and menu innovation, and drive trial and traffic. Our program created and leveraged cultural touchpoints and moments, from Cheddar Bay Biscuit fan love to the famous reference to the brand in Beyonce’s “Formation” advancing Red Lobster’s position as the authentic seafood specialist now and for generations.
