Kristie Taylor Joins MWWPR as Executive Vice President, Technology, Expanding Agency Footprint to Austin, Texas
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – January 8, 2019 – MWWPR, one of the world’s top independent public relations firms, announced today that Kristie Taylor has joined the agency. Based in Austin, Texas, Taylor will play a key part in the growth of MWWPR’s technology practice in her role as Executive Vice President, while establishing MWWPR’s footprint in the Austin market, home to two of the agency’s top clients Whole Foods Market and RetailMeNot.
Prior to MWWPR, Taylor led Edelman’s technology sector of the South Region for several years. She was responsible for a diverse portfolio of consumer and enterprise tech clients ranging from global tech giants including VMware, AMD, and Samsung Mobile, to start-ups focused on emerging technologies. Previously, Taylor spent fifteen years in-house at Dell, AMD and the Consumer Technology Association.
Taylor will serve as deputy director of the agency’s technology practice and will be working closely across all practices and office locations under MWWPR’s one P&L model.
“It has been a privilege to build my career in the Austin technology community and bringing MWWPR to this market is an exciting next step for me personally and the agency as a whole,” said Taylor. “MWWPR’s award-winning portfolio and integrated expertise combined with their progressive values offers a unique environment to foster the creative, forward-thinking, world-class talent Austin has to offer.”
MWWPR has experienced accelerated growth over the past year with the addition of ninth office location in Charlotte, NC, and the acquisition of SEO specialty firm Search Interactions. The addition of Kristie Taylor to the team is the first step in continued plans for 2019, followed by the opening of an office in the Austin market in Q1.
“MWWPR’s national technology practice has seen tremendous growth over the past year under the leadership of Karen Clyne and having a presence in Silicon Hills was the natural next step for our expansion,” said MWWPR Founder and CEO Michael Kempner. “Kristie’s depth of experience and integrated leadership further position us to provide best in class client service and counsel and will be invaluable to our clients and teams as we continue our growth path in 2019.”
Thirty-two-years young, MWWPR is among the world’s leading independent, integrated PR agencies with nine offices across the US and the UK.
